When Shit Happens, Phobias Happen |
I'm JJ and/or Julie, and welcome to my imagination.
This blog will precisely be just for my stories. I’ve been thinking about doing this for a while, and I’ll start posting most of them when I finish my latest (and I hope my best) one. My stories will mostly be fanfiction, involving My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, UnderOATH, Panic! At The Disco, and a couple original stories (not containing fanfiction). Hopefully you enjoy at least something I write, and if you don’t, then my bad. I’m never going to apologize for being myself, and writing what comes from the heart, and my imagination. Omg you know what’s funny, I was just thinking about it and I was like….How long has it even been wtf. LOL. I’ll see what I can do this weekend.
/xoxo JJ.
On Thursday night, Katherine was yet again working. She was serving up drinks non-stop, even for a Thursday night, when Peter showed up on a stool in front of her.
“Hello there.” Katherine smiled at him as she slid a beer down to Jonathon.
“Hey.” He grinned back at her, as she popped off caps to 3 more beers, and slid them again down to Jonathon.
“Where’d you learn how to do that?” Peter asked as she leaned over the bar.
“Bartending school of course.” She smiled as she tended to some customer’s orders.
“What are you doing here anyhow?” Katherine asked him as he nervously bit his lip.
“Oh just, thought I’d drop in and say hi.” He said innocently as they just smiled at each other.
“Well actually, I was thinking that maybe we could get something to eat after your done here. If not, it’s cool.” Peter said casually as Katherine continued working, considering it.
What could she have to lose really?
“Depends on where you’re taking me Peter Wentz.” She played with him as he smiled.
“If you like Chinese food, I’m your man.” He said as she laughed.
“I love Chinese food! I get off in about, an hour.” She said as she momentarily looked at the clock, then back at him.
“Perfect. I’ll be back soon.” He said as he stood up from his seat and left, grinning like a little boy.
Peter took a cab, to Penny’s Noodle Shop to pester one of his good friends Paul about dinner.
“I told you we close at ten Pete.” Paul pressed as Peter kept begging him to keep it open for at least an hour longer.
“I’ll give you DOUBLE of our check, AND you still owe me for that one time…” Pete said as Paul rubbed his temple.
“ONE time Pete, this is the ONLY time I will EVER do this.” Paul gave in as Pete smiled and gave him a big bear hug.
“I know I know, go on, we’ll be open for another hour just for YOU, so you better show up.” Paul yelled at him as Peter ran out of the restaurant to the cab waiting for him.
An hour later, Katherine gave Jonathon a hug and a kiss on the cheek as he exited alone, and she exited the club with Pete. They both slid into a taxi, and were off. When they pulled up to Penny’s Noodle Shop, it was dimly lit, with no one else inside except a couple of workers cleaning up, and Paul standing at the door waiting for Pete’s arrival.
“Welcome to Penny’s Noodle Shop.” Paul greeted, as he showed them their table, in the center of the room, and handed them menus.
“Thank you.” Katherine politely said as Paul let them be.
As they both sat there overlooking the menu, and ordered their drinks, there was no words exchanged between the both of them. Like if this kind of stuff happened all the time.
“So do you always go on dates with people you fuck?” Katherine boldly said out loud as Pete raised an eyebrow.
“We’re on a date?” Pete questioned, not caring about hers.
“I asked you first.” Katherine acted as a small child as Pete had to smile at this.
“Well I asked you out to dinner, not a date necessarily. And who said I fuck a lot of people?” He said as Katherine had to chuckle at his question.
“You’re in a band, you’re good looking, and you’re asking me who said you fuck a lot of people?” She kept on chuckling as Peter didn’t have a smartass remark for this.
Truth be told, he did fuck a lot of people, to put it bluntly. Most were unplanned, like a couple of nights before, but some were with girls he thought meant something. But only some of them. There was somewhat a pained look on Pete’s face, at just hearing the truth from a total stranger that he himself didn’t even begin to face. At this, Katherine’s face softened, and her confidence deflated.
“I was only kidding, Wentz.” She said as a waitress came around and took their orders.
“Yeah, I know.” Pete said as he cleared his throat, and messed with his silverware.
“So is being in a band your only occupation?” Katherine tried to lighten the mood as Pete accepted the change.
“At the moment yes actually. I should go get a job, but I don’t really have a college degree so…No one really wants me.” Peter shrugged as he sipped on his water.
“Eh, fuck everyone anyways.” Katherine smiled as Pete smiled back.
Food came faster than usual. It might have been the fact that they were the only customers in there, or the fact that the rest of the workers wanted to go home. But it seemed fresh, and ready to eat. Katherine indulged herself with Chinese Fried Rice, as Pete ate Pad Thai.
“Jesus, this is really good.” Katherine complimented as she had already finished a fourth of her plate.
“I told you that if you liked Chinese food that I was your man.” Pete said as she laughed at him, quoting himself.
They both seemed to finish at the same time, and grabbed the check at the same time. Katherine blushed at the contact.
“I’ll get this.” Peter said as he took the check into his hands.
“I thought this wasn’t a date.” Katherine challenged him as he grinned.
“It’s not. I just feel like being a gentleman is all. Is that okay with you?” Pete smiled the whole time as he said this, and shoved a credit into the small plastic pouch and called for Paul to pick it up for them.
They were quiet up until they exited the restaurant, when Katherine didn’t know exactly what to say.
“Wanna go for a walk?” Pete asked her suddenly as she just smiled and nodded.
They came across Sheil Park, closed off at this hour they sat on steps out front. They sat there in a comfortable silence, drowning in their thoughts as he spoke first.
“I kind of had a reason in taking you out to a late dinner.” Pete said quietly as he nibbled on his lip.
“And what is that reason?” Katherine asked in the same quiet tone.
He took a moment to respond, occupying himself with his hands.
“I just wanted to say I was sorry. I’m sometimes a selfish asshole and I like to take advantage of people. But I just thought that maybe we could be friends…” He said nervously, waiting to get rejected just a friendship like so many other times.
“You’re not a selfish asshole.” Katherine stated as Pete finally looked at her.
He laughed nervously and scratched his head.
“I mean…You aren’t the one to blame for whatever happened the other night, at least not entirely. I don’t want you thinking you’re responsible for it all. I’m just as responsible.” Katherine explained as best she could.
She held nothing against him, and she wasn’t even entirely sure if she regretted her own decisions.
“But…Of course we should be friends.” Katherine finished her thoughts as he smiled at her.
“Good. I was worried that you wanted nothing to do with me.” He mentioned to her as she raised an eyebrow.
“If I didn’t want to be friends with you, don’t you think I’d be trying to avoid you rather than eat dinner with you?” She asked him as he visibly shrugged.
“Who knows what goes through girls’ minds anymore.” He grinned sheepishly as he looked at her out of the corner of his eyes.
“Well I’m not like most girls.” Katherine said matter-of-factly as Pete laughed.
“Yeah, I know.” He agreed as an awkward silence now fell over them.
“Uh, so do you want me to walk you home?” Pete asked as he pulled at his hair out of habit.
“Sure.” Katherine said as they silently started to walk towards Katherine’s dads’ house.
“Fuck.” Katherine muttered to herself as she saw Brian standing outside her father’s house, seeming to wait for her.
“Where were you?” Brian asked, ignoring Pete at her side.
“Out.” She said coldly as she turned to Pete.
“Thanks for dinner and what not.” She said to him, ignoring the glare Brian was giving them.
“Oh, no problem.” He said quietly as he didn’t want to become the problem.
“I’m Brian, her boyfriend.” Brian introduced himself coldly and stuck his hand out.
“I’m Peter, her friend.” Pete shook his hand, unphased by the coldness.
Katherine ignored this exchange as she started to interrogate Brian, like he did her that other morning.
“What are you doing here anyhow?”
“Well I am your boyfriend. I have every right to be here.” He murmured as Pete didn’t know whether or not to stay or leave at this point.
“I don’t want to see you. Thanks, again, Peter. Goodnight.” Katherine talked to Brian then abruptly turned to Peter.
“Goodnight.” Peter said quietly as he shoved his hands in his pockets and walked off toward his apartments leaving Katherine and Brian arguing.
“Just get the fuck away from me.” Katherine pleaded as she stood in front of her door.
“Not before this…” He said as he shoved her into the door and pressed his lips against hers roughly.
She didn’t kiss back as his teeth grinded against hers. As his hand started to run up the side of her ribcage, she pushed him off. She didn’t bother to say bye or anything of the sort as she closed and locked the door in his face. Why couldn’t she just tell him to go away forever?

The next day, just like she promised her little Amity, they both took a mommy and Amity day. After breakfast at an IHOP off of North Halsted Street, they both took a cab to Horner Park, where Amity ran off and played with all the other children as small as her. Katherine sat on a bench, listening to her iPod and gazed around the park. Complicated by Avril Lavigne started playing as Katherine silently laughed to herself.
“Mommy mommy, look at me!” She heard Amity call as she slid down a slide.
“I see that Amity, that was good.” She encouraged her daughter as Amity ran up the steps to slide down again.
Katherine looked down momentarily to change the song to The Middle by Jimmy Eat World but when she looked back up, Amity was nowhere in sight. Instinctively, she did what any mother would do and began to panic. She called out her name as she searched frantically through all the small children to find her. As she checked all around the playground, she spotted Amity not too far from the playground.
“Mommy come look at this puppy!” She called as Katherine ran over to her.
“Oh my god Amity don’t you ever do that again please. You scared me half to death.” Katherine lightly scolded as she hugged Amity close to her.
“But mommy this puppy is so cute.” She smiled childishly as she continued petting the animal.
Katherine then noticed there was a man standing there holding the leash to the puppy and she stood.
“I’m sorry.” She started as she didn’t look at the man and put her iPod away.
“It’s fine.” He replied as she swore she knew that voice.
And with one look at Peter Wentz, her heart slowed and it seemed as if it was hard to breath.
“I had no idea you had a puppy.” Katherine smiled at him as he smiled back.
“I didn’t either…Till this morning.” Peter said, making Katherine laugh.
“What’d you name him?” Amity asked as she continued petting the dog.
“I think I’m going to go with Hemingway.” Peter nodded to himself, suddenly agreeing to the name that just stuck.
“Ernest Hemingway. Nice.” Katherine noted as she moved hair out of her face.
“Hemingway.” Amity repeated as the puppy laid on his side, and she started to pet his belly.
“Amity darling, this is Peter.” Katherine turned her daughter’s attention to the man with the puppy.
“Peener!” Amity giggled to herself as Katherine’s face felt hot with embarrassment.
Pete just laughed, and nodded.
“She’s cute.” He stated as Amity said thank you in a small voice.
As they both just stood there quietly, glancing at the ground, and then at each other, Pete decided to bring up his next show.
“Well Fall Out Boy has another show this week, on Friday.” He casually started as Katherine was actually very interested.
“Do you guys really, where at?” She asked as Pete continued to tell her it would be at the Hard Rock Café at 7:30 P.M.
“Hmm, I’ll try and be there, how’s that?” She told him as he smiled.
“I can bring Jonathon, and you two could meet. You’d like him.” Katherine said as Pete raised an eyebrow.
“Would he like me?” He questioned as Katherine laughed and said that he would.
“Well then it’s a done deal.” Peter confirmed as Katherine nodded.
As it came to another silence, Katherine decided it would be best to break away from him, before she blurted out something stupid, since she was used to doing that kind of stuff.
“I guess we should get going, huh Amity?” Katherine asked her daughter, hoping she’d agree, but Amity just looked at her mother and looked at the puppy, and shook her head.
“You can see the puppy another time sweetie, let’s go see grandpa now.” Katherine said gently, tugging her away.
“It was nice seeing you again Peter. And I’ll for sure try and go to that show.” She said casually as he smiled and waved goodbye to her and Amity.
It was only 10 when Katherine stirred, but to her it felt like eternity. She snuggled her pillow close to her, but when she remembered parts of what happened the previous night, she shot up in bed, to make sure it was her own. When she figured that Brian wasn’t there either, she laid her head back down on her own pillow.
She remembered bits and pieces of the night before, but not the whole scenario. But her red flags came up when she thought of Brian. Something wasn’t right, and she knew that for a fact. She sat up and rubbed her temple when she read the red numbers on her digital clock, 10:08. As by some coincidence, Brian opened her door not even two minutes later. She just stared at him as he smiled and closed the door behind him. He made movement toward her as she scooted back, away from him.
“What’s wrong sugar? You remember something you shouldn’t?” He smiled as Katherine nibbled on her inner cheek.
Something was really wrong here.
“What the fuck did you do to me Brian?” She questioned in a soft voice that sounded unlike her confident self.
“It doesn’t matter love. You don’t remember anyways, so therefore, it doesn’t apply to you.” He said as he sat on the side of her bed.
“It’s my fucking body, of course it applies to me!” she whispered angrily.
In an instant, his hand was around her neck, her head smacking her headboard.
“If you tell anyone, and I mean anyone I’ll show you what I’m really capable of. You don’t want your daughter having to go through any of this, do you?” He whispered in her ear, and kissed her hard on the mouth.
She shoved his face away from her, grimacing at him. He just smiled and went his way out her door. Once he left, her eyes stung with tears. Why the fuck couldn’t she remember? What the hell did he do to her? Random questions popped into her head, as her eyes got blurry behind the tears. She crawled into a ball and held her knees in her arms and let the tears fall. What was she going to do? She couldn’t turn to the police, he was the police. As she debated on anything, everything she could, her conclusion was that nothing could help. She had nothing to believe in.

As she got tired of moping around in her room, she at least cleaned up to crawl downstairs. As she stood at the foot of the stairs, her dad had a worried expression plastered on his face. He enveloped her in a hug as she barely had enough strength to give one back herself.
“What happened to you? Brian brought you home passed out and said he found you in an ally way behind the club?” Her dad questioned her as she didn’t know what to think of this.
“I…I have no idea.” She said quietly as her dad looked at her straight in the eye.
She wasn’t completely lying. What if she really did end up in the ally behind the club? She couldn’t remember for the life of her. But she did know Brian had something behind this. Whatever it was, she was going to remember someway, or somehow.
She smiled weakly at her dad as she walked past him into the kitchen.
“I’m fine. I just needed some sleep, that’s all.” She tried to assure her dad as she grabbed a bowl out of the cupboard, Cap N’ Crunch from on top of the fridge, and milk.
“I don’t want you getting drunk every night Katherine.” He accused as Katherine scoffed from behind her spoon.
“I didn’t even have a drink.” She mumbled as her own dad scoffed just like she had.
“Okay then.” Her dad said as he left without another word.
Katherine grumbled under her breath. She shouldn’t have said anything in the first place. This isn’t his battle anyways, so why should she worry him. All he thinks about is the way her mom ended up jumping off a bridge. It wasn’t as if she never thought about it, but she didn’t dwell on it like her father had over 15 years. As she sat at the dining table, she heard feet padding across the linoleum of her dad’s kitchen.
“Hi mommy.” Amity’s small voice greeted as Katherine smiled as best she could.
“Hello baby.” Katherine said as she picked her up and set her on her lap.
“Mama, can we go to the park today?” Amity questioned her mother as Katherine sadly told her daughter she wasn’t up to it.
“But we haven’t been in a while.” Her daughter tried again as Katherine shook her head.
“We’ll go tomorrow Amity.” Katherine tried to assure her as Amity’s bottom lip quivered.
“Mommy…” Amity trailed off as tears slid down her cheeks.
“Oh Amity.” Katherine tried to quiet her as tears hit her shoulder.
“We can go tomorrow, and we’ll get ice cream, and it’ll just be a mommy and Amity day. Okay?” Katherine tried to bargain with her daughter as she hated seeing this angel face cry.
“Okay.” Amity mumbled quietly as she was still quite upset and laid on Katherine’s shoulder for some time.
As Katherine sat there, waiting for either Amity to move, or for someone to come into the kitchen, she noticed Amity falling asleep in her arms.
“This is how you remind me of what I really am…” Katherine silently sang Nickelback’s How You Remind Me as she silently crept up the stairs to put her beloved daughter to bed.
To be quite honest, she didn’t know what she was doing with her life. Of course, no one wants to be pregnant at 18, at least she didn’t. But that hasn’t stopped her from doing what she has. She was an aspiring dancer though, and there was nothing she wanted more than to go to the prestigious school of Julliard located in New York City. But she wasn’t going to give up on herself now, or her daughter, to follow a dream that may not come true. Her belief that anything as such could happen, was very small. Plus, that little dream couldn’t even come true for a while now, and she has to at least survive one week before she thought ahead of herself here.
camerasareflashing asked: How was your first week of classes? What classes are you taking?

Later that night as Katherine was heading out for work, Brian caught her off guard.
“You didn’t call me.” He said as Katherine put her hair up in a pony tail.
“Well hello to you too.” She sighed as she walked past him to her waiting cab.
“Why didn’t you call me?” He questioned her as she stopped in her tracks and turned around and glared at him.
“Maybe I was busy with my life? Or are you too self-centered to think that I may have one?” She spat as Brian’s nostril’s flared.
“You’re too busy to call your own boyfriend? Hey, I’m talking to you.” He raised his voice as he grabbed her arm as she tried to get into the cab.
“Touch me again and you’ll fucking regret it.” Katherine gritted through her teeth.
“Hey, you okay?” The taxi driver butted in as he got out of the car.
“I’m just dandy.” Katherine smiled as Brian released his grip on her arm, and she slid into the cab.
“Vision Night Club please.” She said to the cab driver as they drove off, leaving Brian with unanswered questions.
The incident with Brian didn’t seem to phase her one bit. She was looking forward to finishing tonight’s shift, and going home for Sunday and Monday off. The whole week was hell, even before sleeping with Peter. It started with getting fired from the second job she had, working at Macy’s, with no reason whatsoever. That damned, “6-month policy” where they don’t have to tell you why they fire you within 6 months. Then, getting into an argument with Brian where he first put his hands on her. And lastly, waking up next to Peter Lewis Kingston Wentz the III and not remembering a thing. Not that, that last part was so bad, but it does go on the list of things that happened within the week.
As Katherine arrived at work, Jonathon was just walking up in a white dress shirt, a black tie, and black pants. Katherine smiled, none the less as he linked his arm with her.
“Hello love. You look rather smashing today.” Katherine tried not to giggle at her lame attempt of an accent.
“Why so do you.” He smiled at her in a red short dress, and black leggings.
Saturday nights were formal attire night. Not for the whole club, but at least the staff. No one really knew why, but no one bothered to ask. Plus, who doesn’t like playing dress up for one night?
As the club stated to jump, and the music played loudly, Jonathon and Katherine kept the bar maintained, but no one seemed to notice the dark figure sitting at a small table made for two, all alone. He kept a close eye on the one and only girl working that bar as she served up as many drinks her hands could make at once. He kept to himself most of the night, casually asking for a drink from a waitress every now and then, but other than that he was drowned in his own thoughts for the rest of the night. Once he noticed that Katherine was heading out for the night, he left money on the table for all of his drinks, and a tip.
Katherine sighed to herself as she pulled the pony tail out of her hair, and ran a hand through it. She rolled it on her wrist as she thought she heard someone behind her, but saw no one. As she stood there waiting for her cab quietly, someone unexpectedly put a hand over her mouth, and nose. She twisted, and turned, trying to get free as this person dragged her to a car. Her eyes started to get heavy, and her muscles started to feel like jelly from the lack of oxygen as she stopped trying to fight. She couldn’t keep her eyes open any longer, and closed them as she barely felt her head slam against a window.
—-
The room was spinning round and round when Katherine opened her eyes. Her head was throbbing with pain, and she tasted blood in her mouth. She blinked over and over again trying to get the spinning to stop. When it did, she knew that she was in Brian’s room. How the fuck did she end up there? She tried to get up but something was keeping her back. She noticed that her hands were handcuffed to his bed post.
“What the fuck.” She breathed as she tried to pull them off.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Brian said from the door as she glared up at him.
“Let me go.” She said with her jaw clenched.
He just smiled as he went about his business and ignored her demand. She again told him to let her go, and this time he gravelly laughed.
“Look, doll…” He started as he flicked a needle, the liquid dripping down.
“You owe me, majorly. And, I’m not going to regret this.” He smiled as Katherine flinched at the needle.
She felt the needle enter her neck and she let out a growl as she tried to kick at him.
“Stop it. You’ll be asleep soon anyways. I’ll see you in the morning pumpkin.” He smiled as he started to strip himself.
“I…I fucking hate you.” She whimpered as she felt his hands on her.
Her eyes felt heavy, yet again, as she decided just to not fight it anymore. What could she do? She didn’t want to be awake when Brian was violating her in ways no woman would ever want to be. Actually, she didn’t want to wake up ever again, to face this new problem in her life.

I know this chapter is kind of..weird..And..Well just weird..Sorry for that..>.>.
